On September 16th, 2011, Professor Qingbo Xu arrived at Guangzhou as scheduled. Angy’s staff accompanied him in his whole journey to Sun Yat-sen University where he gave a brilliant academic report, and the theme of Stem Cell Research in Arteriosclerosis was deeply discussed.
Professor Qingbo Xu, as the tenured professor on Cardiovascular Disease Subject in King’s College London and the Chairman in British Heart Found (BHF)John Parker, set up the largest vascular biology laboratory in Europe. He devoted himself mainly to the following research subjects: Vascular Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine; Stem Cell’s Orient Differentiation and Vascular Biology & Vascular Proteomics. He is now the editor of many internationally core vascular research journals like Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol. Besides, he also enjoys some part-time occupations including member of British atherosclerosis Association and honorary chairman for Chinese Life Science Society in the whole British, etc.
